Join us in Transforming Lives!
We have an opportunity for a highly organized Executive Secretary to provide direct and confidential administrative support to the Chief of Staff for the Department of Social and Health Services and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
**Some of what you'll do: **
* Prioritize workload based on ever-evolving needs and issues including using judgment in directing work and assignments
* Manage and make decisions regarding administrative functions and direct assignments for follow up on behalf of the Chief of Staff
* Interact and collaborate with department leadership to identify new and ongoing concerns and develop contingency strategies
* Assist with special projects and support open and collaborative communication throughout the agency
* Manage complex and demanding schedules, prioritize events and meetings to maximize time
* Receive inquiries and concerns from legislators and legislative staff, Tribal governments, public, media, constituents, clients, community partners and stakeholders and ensures that responses are appropriate and timely

* Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail. The ability to exercise strong independent judgment
* The ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
* Strong computer skills with experience in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and comfortable with learning new platforms and databases
* A strong team oriented work ethic
* Excellent typing, editing, grammar, and phone skills
* Ability to interact very effectively with high-level internal and external stakeholders in a complex political environment
**Who should apply?**
Professionals with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or an allied field and at least three years of experience at the senior administrative support level.
Additional experience may substitute for education on a year for year basis.
